Breed Specific Cat Voodoo Dolls

We love our cats despite the many ways they torture us. Now it's your chance for a little revenge.

These adorable Voodoo Dolls are sculpted and painted to resemble the most common colors and breeds of cats. They are a perfect homage to our beloved pets and make a great gift for the cat lover in your life or just for yourself. $10.00 of the purchase price goes directly to benefit WAIF so they can continue to save abused and abandoned animals and ease the suffering of neglected animals of all kinds.

Each doll is made as ordered. They are hand sculpted and have a color coordinating glass bead set into the tops of their heads along with a fluffy feather. They are dressed in a complimentary color (specific colors can be requested in the comments area of the order form). The dolls also include a small, empty "mojo bottle", hung around the neck which is perfect for keeping a lock of hair or other memento of your pet in.

These Voodoo dolls were hand made by renowned voodoo root doctor and artist, Scully Elly, direct from New Orleans' 8th ward neighborhood just outside the French Quarter. These dolls are NOT mass produced souvenir items. Full instructions for actual magickal use are included. All dolls are approximately 9" tall and stuffed with Spanish moss. Because each doll is handmade they will vary in appearance and may not be exactly identical to the dolls pictured.

Please note that these dolls are NOT meant to harm any critter or person. They are simply a silly way to represent the pets that rule our lives. These dolls cannot cause any spiritual harm to anyone or anything.

"Louis Maistros has written a lyrical, complex, and brave novel that takes enormous risks and pulls them all off. He is a writer to watch and keep reading, a writer to cherish."
Peter Straub

"The Society of North American Magic Realists welcomes its newest, most dazzling member, Louis Maistros. His debut novel is a thing of wonder, unlike anything in our literature. It startles. It stuns. It stupefies. No novel since CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES has done such justice to New Orleans. If Franz Kafka had been able to write like Peter Straub, this might have been the result."
Donald Harington,
Winner of the Robert Penn Warren Award and the Oxford-American Lifetime Achievement Award.

“The Sound of Building Coffins is easily one of the finest and truest pieces of New Orleans fiction I've ever read.”
- Poppy Z. Brite

“One has to write with considerable authenticity to pull off a story steeped in magic and swamp water that examines race and class, death and rebirth, Haitian voodoo, and the beginnings of jazz in 1891 New Orleans...The plot is complex and magical, grounded in the history of the city, without being overly sentimental. There is a comfort with death as a part of life in this work that reveals deep feeling for the city and its past....Highly recommended for all fiction collections, especially where there is an interest in jazz."
